X’tra Special Arts Project 2014
01/09-30/11/2014; 01-30/09/2014
We all have our limitations, but we all have our own unique talents too.
This September through November, our popular X’tra Special Arts Project offers workshops to stimulate creativity amongst young people with special needs, and their teachers.
Tape Art and Screen Printing (Teachers Workshop)
In the first part of the workshop, learn how to guide your students to create illusions just by using a few rolls of colourful tape. By playing with size and composition, your students will be transported into an imaginative, fun and humorous world. Then learn how to create bold images using the simple yet delicate art of screen printing. A great way to decorate bags and T-shirts. Teachers will receive teacher’s packs and art materials for their schools.
Comfy Concerts (Student Workshop)
Comfy concerts allow special needs students to not only watch professional musicians perform, but play along using instruments provided. This fun and inspiring experience is provided for free at the students’ school.
