Jockey Club Community Arts Biennale 2015 - Masterclass Recruitment

Under the theme ‘The People’, Jockey Club Community Arts Biennale 2015 celebrates diversity and cultural exchange – bringing together people of different backgrounds and ages for a new perspective on community.

Through a series of artist-in-residence programmes, local artists and students will work with different communities in Hong Kong – ethnic minorities, senior citizens and master craftsmen – to create installations, sculptures, costume designs, knitted artworks and illustrations. The resulting artworks will be shown across Hong Kong in large-scale public exhibitions in mid-2015.

We are now seeking young people aged 14 and above to take part in our masterclass programmes. The programme will be conducted in Cantonese and will take at YAF’s studio or at the artist’s studio. It will run between mid-January and April 2015, with each programme consisting of 6 - 7 workshops that last 2 - 3 hours long. Please note that participants may need to take field trips for research purposes. After you register your interest, we will be in touch to coordinate times and dates.
