Standard Chartered Arts in the Park Mardi Gras 2015 Charity Programme: Seeing is Believing Fundraising Exhibition

Since 2003, Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) and YAF have successfully collaborated on the Seeing is Believing Fundraising Exhibition, a programme that has enabled over one hundred thousand local students to explore their creativity and show empathy for the visually impaired in a fun and imaginative way.

This year, to tie in with the classical music theme of Standard Chartered Arts in the Park Mardi Gras 2015, 8,000 students from over 60 primary, secondary and special needs schools have created over 8,000 music-related art pieces, taking inspiration from Oriental, Arabian, Russian and tribal arts and presenting their work in the form of a mandala.

To celebrate World Sight Day, works will be featured at a preview display in Festival Walk from 8 – 14 October before the big showcase reveal at Arts in the Park in Victoria Park this November. All proceeds go to ORBIS for their eye restoration and eye care education projects in mainland China.
