Situated in Mongkok, Langham Place Hotel has a reputation for its innovative projects and fabulous art collection open for public appreciation. Together with YAF, Langham Hotel has created an Art in the Office project aiming to bring arts and vivacity into the working environment.

During the previous two months, a local visual artist and photographer, Birdy Chu, has worked with a group of local students from the HK & KLN Chiu Chow Public Association Secondary School to create a series of art works inspired by "The Changing Face of Mongkok". Using a camera lens to instantaneously capture the high-speed and constantly changing city, the students subsequently applied digital effects and processed the images through computer software to emphasize the characteristics of the city scenes. The project captures Mongkok through the eyes of it's youth and aims to bring new life to the old neighborhood by kick-starting a sustained regeneration process in Mongkok.

The finished works will be displayed in Langham Place and then permanently installed at the office tower.
