Since first being announced at the 1992 Rio de Janeiro Earth Summit, World Oceans Day alerts the public of the World's oceans and their importance for wildlife and all life on Earth. WWF and YAF jointly presented this project to students in Hong Kong to raise the awareness on Hong Kong marine species and to inspire them on how to protect our marine environment.

The 10 featured marine species are: Chinese Bahaba, Hong Kong Grouper, Brain Coral, Sea Urchins, Sea grass, Horseshoe Crab, Mudskipper, Green Turtle and Chinese White Dolphin. A theatrical performance is created based on these marine animals. Each species is portrayed as a character, by using the innate characteristics of the species, a ‘personality’ and a physical representation is developed. Hip-hop and rap are woven into the drama to bring the message to students in a creative and engaging way.

Ocean’s 10 Theatre had been touring 48 Hong Kong schools in Hong Kong.
