Venue : Shouson Theatre, Hong Kong Arts Centre

Sponsored by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, 100% RED presents a performing arts project using contemporary dance as the medium, and Chinese culture and arts as the inspiration to create this theatrical dance performance which was showcasing at the Shouson Theatre, Hong Kong Arts Centre in May 2007.

Dancers were selected in December 2006 to take part in this community dance project. Through 16 weeks of intensive training, the youth dancers learned how to devise and choreograph using the four Chinese main arts disciplines as the backdrop: Poetry, Festivities, Folk Art and Calligraphy. Four 20-minute dance pieces are weaved together to bring the audience through this oriental theatrical tapestry, mixing traditional Chinese arts characteristics with contemporary music and setting.

Workshops are led and developed by 4 renowned choreographers in Hong Kong: Medina Lau, Francis Leung, Christina Jensen and Michael Wong.
