This year, local theatre professional, Lindsey McAlister, will conduct 3 drama workshops for teachers in March. The workshops will look at different ways to direct a piece of theatre through practical games and innovative techniques that can be adopted when directing, including vocal and physical exercises to encourage performers to reach their full potential on stage. Following the teacher workshops, the teachers will work with their own students for 6 to 8 weeks in their schools, exploring the best way to utilize the techniques learnt in the workshops to present a 10-minute play.
Over the past 10 years, Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation has encouraged local young people who have the passion to create and a love of performing to share their work with us under the theatre lights.
All the schools will then participate in a 2-day drama camp with morning workshops led by theatre professionals and an afternoon performance sharing session by the school students in a selected school venue around late June and early July.
2 teachers are required for the teacher workshops from each school and the school must commit to the whole project.

Teachers participating in the workshops must also join the following:
1. School drama workshops (20 students of age 10 or above from each school) in 4-6/2010
2. Drama camp (Teachers & students are required)in 2 designated days around late June and early July (To be confirmed)
