12/12/2006 CHRISTMAS STOCKINGS EXHIBITION Venue : Langham Place Enquiry : 28772779 Together with Langham Place, YAF invited hundreds of primary and secondary school students to create an assortment of Christmas stockings which will decorate Langham Place throughout the Christmas period from 12 December to 2 January. The students learnt how to use a variety of art skills to create a new look for the Christmas stockings. A traditional Christmas stocking is hung up by children on Christmas Eve and filled with gifts from Santa Claus. The symbol of the Christmas stocking is often used on Christmas cards and Christmas decorations to celebrate the joy of giving presents during the festive season.
