SHERATON DREAMSCAPE STAINED GLASS EXHIBITION
Venue : Hong Kong Cultural Centre Foyer
Enquiry : 2877 2779

Year 2007 marks the ninth consecutive year of Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers in support of YAF community art projects which provides the underprivileged teenagers with an opportunity to express themselves positively through their art pieces.

This summer, enthusiastic volunteers from Sheraton Hotel & Towers spent their leisure time and worked on mosaic with teenagers from Adolescent Medical Centre at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Traditional stained glass is a decoration style which was commonly used in churches in ancient Europe. Guided by mosaic artists Gareth Dunster and Karen Pow, participants used broken ceramics to created eight pieces of artworks riding on the themes of wonderland such as: "Food Paradise", "Luputa", "Tour in the Ocean", "Equestrianism", "Bonfires", "Time Machine", "Paradise" and "Heading City". Arch-shaped artworks, each of 2ft x 6ft big, lead you to colorful dreams of the young people. Come and join us in the exhibitions before they are installed in the Hospital ward.
