Bloomberg has a reputation for its support of educational and cultural institutions worldwide, all of which promote public awareness and appreciation of the art and encourage higher education. Last year Bloomberg worked together with YAF to present an Emerging Artists Programme which supported the work of two local artists, Samson Young and Christopher Lau. After the success of last years programme, we are delighted to announce the launch of the 2nd Emerging Artists Programme and look forward to helping support the chosen candidate/s in his or her career in the visual arts field.
The selected artist/s will be engaged during a three-month period (June to August) to create a series of artworks which will result in a major exhibition in Hong Kong. As part of the programme the artist will be required to work on a community arts project, organized by YAF together with one of our charity partners. The aim of the community project is to help more young people engage with contemporary art.
