CLP TOTEM MAKING ENVIRONMENTAL ART PROJECT- OPEN CALL FOR PROPOSAL
Venue : Artist In School Residence
Enquiry : yan@hkyaf.com

Sponsored by CLP Power Hong Kong Limited (CLP), YAF initiates the CLP Totem Making Environmental Arts Project to raise public awareness in the areas of recycling, energy consumption and conservation. We are currently inviting primary schools to submit proposals to apply for a free artist-in-residence programme. Four schools will be selected by CLP and be provided with 6-8 artist-led workshop sessions, the totem pole basic structure and a material subsidy to create the life-size sculpture.

Early this year, 400 students from 4 primary schools participated in this artist-in-residence programme to decorate 8-feet high totem poles. These totem poles effectively engaged the participating schools and students in reflecting on the issues of environmental protection.

The second phase of this project will benefit 4 more schools and their students. Through this creative process, the students will be encouraged to learn more about nature and what we can do to protect our environment.

If your school is interested in this project, please download the following application form.
