University of the Arts London is Europe's largest university for art, design, fashion, communication and the performing arts. Colin Kerrigan, sculptor and Deputy Director of the International Centre at UAL is inviting Visual Arts teachers to join a collaborative creative workshop- City Sanctuary which is intended to act as a catalyst for a Hong Kong Visual Art teachers' network.

Colin was Principal Lecturer in Art & Design at Central Saint Martin's College of Art & Design for many years and has worked with prestigious educational institutions internationally. Drawing upon this experience the teacher workshop aims to introduce the UAL design process through an innovative hands-on installation project culminating in a public exhibition to be held later in the year. Inspired by the iconic architecture of Hong Kong, participants will work three-dimensionally, exploring their personal responses to the concept of city camouflage and through a creative journey create an installation which responds to this visual theme and will form an integral part of the City Sanctuary exhibition. In addition to the project outcome, the workshop also provides a forum for teachers to discuss their ideas of how to further develop independent, self-motivated, creative individuals in their own classrooms.
