Langham Place and YAF co-present the Art in Motion Photo Exhibition, which enables 60 young people explored ways of capturing motion through the camera lens between May and June under the guidance of professional photographer Cheung Chi-Wai.
All the finished artwork will be displayed in an interactive setting in Langham Place.
Since the 1800s, various artists have explored and adapted different techniques to depict the art of movement by capturing motion in time in two-dimensional mediums such as painting and photography.
The students experience with the method of breaking motion into several still frames and then re-connecting them to create a moving picture, the participants worked intensively to create thousands of images. Through the workshop series, they utilized the basic photography techniques that they learnt to capture and portray the common values of passion and creativity that are apparent in both art and sport.
