Sponsored by New World Development Company Limited and China Young Leaders Foundation, YAF will enable 5,000 primary and secondary school students to decorate a miniature figure as part of a project to raise awareness for Médecins Sans Frontières. During the creative project the young people will learn more about the plight of the people in the world who are suffering and need our help.
In January, 2008, YAF will hold teacher workshops to demonstrate how the students can customize their figures to represent the need for the vulnerable populations around the world to have access to medical aid.
This project aims at raising awareness in children and in turn, the wider community. By creating a piece of visual art, this important topic will be brought to life in a creative and memorable way.
All finished figures will be exhibited at New World Centre from 17 to 27 April, 2008.
MSF is an international charity that provides medical assistance to victims of war, epidemics and natural disasters in over 70 countries around the world.
