Sponsored by New World Development Company Limited and China Young Leaders Foundation, 5,000 primary and secondary school students participated in a YAF art project where they decorated a miniature figure as part of a programme to raise awareness for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), an international charity that provides medical assistance to over 70 countries around the world. YAF artist Luke Ching conducted a series of teachers workshops as part of the project and all students that participated made a donation HK$20 or above to the Médecins Sans Frontières charity.

Inspired by international contemporary artists Antony Gormley and Jason de Caires Taylor, the decorated human figures became a huge installation collectively representing 'people power'. The participating students created artworks inspired by the theme of transcending borders and terrains and MSF volunteers' sharing.

Thousands of brightly coloured 9 inch human figures will be displayed at the New World Centre from 30 April to 11 May, 2008. Don't miss this unique exhibition!
