For a second consecutive year, New World Development Company Limited have teamed up with YAF to create a public art project that explores the theme of nature by making a dynamic sculpture for the new shopping mall K11, located in Tsim Sha Tsui, opening in 2009.
Professional sculptor Jaffa Lam will facilitate a group of young people to observe the natural world of Hong Kong to inspire their creation of 3-dimensional sculpture models. These models will then be used to create sculptures reflecting the texture and form of natural objects and then incorporated into a giant Bauhinia Flower Sculpture.
The sculpture will be permanently installed at K-11's main entrance in 2009, fashioning an inviting spectacle for the public and an elegant addition to the cityscape whilst realising the spirit of "The New Art of TST".
