PHOTOGRAPHY MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME FOR AUTISTIC YOUTH

In practice of the belief that “Art knows no boundaries”, YAF and the Sovereign Art Trust pioneer an insightful photography mentorship programme. Three young people with autism from Heep Hong Society, Fu Hong Society and Hong Chi Association, will be given the opportunity to be mentored by local photographers Tse Ming-chong, Leon Suen and Ceci Liu for 3 months from June to August.

Through an exploration of the photographic meduim, the participants will discover the potential of expressing their thoughts and feelings, culminating in a thought-provoking exhibition.

The mentorship programme provides intensive training for the participants and provides an inspirational avenue for self-expression. It also encourages development of a hidden artistic passion.

The showcasing of their works at the end of the programme will demonstrate to the general public their potential as gifted artists in their own right and perhaps challenge the general perception of people with Autism.

Come and see the inspiring and thought-provoking exhibition and encourage more opportunities for special-need youth to develop their talent and capacity.

Project only for specific beneficiary organisations:
Heep Hong Society, Fu Hong Society and Hong Chi Association
