Creating a mosaic mural is much like building a city wall; they both require patience and effort to complete – stone by stone, tile by tile. In collaboration with Youth Square, YAF held a mosaic mural project from April to June 2012.
During the project, professional teaching artist Karen Pow helped 20 young people from secondary schools and universities in Hong Kong to create a unique public mosaic mural. With their mosaic, the participants wanted not only to create a beautiful piece of work to brighten the community environment but also to share a message of community harmony and to make a connection with local residents. The completed work will be permanently installed and exhibited on the façade of Youth Square's Y-Platform.
