For the past 14 years YAF has been organizing visual arts and performing art projects for young people in Hong Kong, including underprivileged and special needs youth. In fact 65% of all Special Needs schools and organizations in Hong Kong have already participated in a HKYAF project.

In 2006 we will use our expertise in organizing special needs art projects to create a year long programme of events that companies in Hong Kong can support.

We believe that art has a unique ability to change society's perception of people with intellectual and physical disabilities and we hope that through Xtra Special Art we will provide exciting creative opportunities that will also help facilitate interaction and integration.
