Have you always been interested in the performing arts?
Yes, ever since I did my first school production four years ago as Noah Claypole in Oliver Twist
Have you had any previous performing experience?
Yes, I was Colonel Pickering in My Fair Lady (Face Productions), Roger Strong in Catch Me if You Can (Face Productions), and various Faust and school productions
What prompted you to audition for Fame?
I thought it would be a fun experience and I had heard a lot from my parents about what a great production it was! I also knew it would be a great learning opportunity to work with YAF.
What has been the most challenging part of the rehearsal process?
The very late nights as I live 2 and half hours away in a remote part of Lantau
What is your favourite/most memorable part of this project?
Meeting different people, making new friends and having new experiences of working with such talented performers and having the help of our teachers and mentors. I have grown confidence in myself, developed perseverance and my singing has really improved.
In Fame, all of the students excelled in their chosen field. If you could be good at anything, what would it be?
Performing Arts (singing in particular) - I also love basketball!
What do you wish people knew about performing and explain why
The whole experience takes a huge amounts of work, effort, commitment, and time - however it is the most fun, exhilarating and rewarding thing you can do.
