Are you ready to join Phileas Fogg on his around-the-world adventure?
On Sunday, 1 December at 2:30pm, the hugely popular Grand Finale Parade sets off from Victoria Park. Join us along the route – from Victoria Park, along Great George Street, past Sogo and back along East Point Road – and see our spectacular four-metre-tall giant puppets inspired by characters from Around the World in Eighty Days up close!
As well as 10 meticulously crafted puppets – each of which takes local artists and students over 200 hours of work to create – the parade features 500 young dancers and performers, colourful handmade costumes, and creative artwork highlighting heritage artefacts like the Egyptian Sphinx, exotic animals, and historical modes of transport like ships and balloons!
