The Hong Kong Jockey Club Community Project Grant: stART Up Community Arts Project – Public Workshops

On the weekends of 1/2 and 8/9 March, as a part of The Hong Kong Jockey Club Community Project Grant: stART Up Community Arts Project exhibition, a series of free workshops and sharing session offer participants the chance to gain insight into the experience of living with physical disability.
Weekend Workshop: Embodied Expression
Participants engage in a series of blindfold and body language challenges that offer a sense of how blind and deaf individuals experience the world around them. Workshops take place on 1, 2, 8 and 9 March between 12nn to 6pm. Each workshop lasts 30 minutes. On-site registration opens 15 minutes before the start of each session.
Sharing Session: Dancing in Signs
Deaf artist Heidi Wong shares how she overcame her hearing impairment to become a dance artist. Participants have the chance to learn basic sign language and appropriate ways to communicate with the deaf. The 60-minute session will be held on 8 March at 3pm. Advance online registration required, registration opens on 20 February 2025. Limited spots available. Each individual can register for two places only.
