Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation - Standard Chartered Arts in the Park 2025: Auditions for RAW A Cappella Team

Calling all talented, lively a cappella singers and beatboxers aged 10 to 25!

If you have a passion for music and a desire to perform on stage, don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to be part of HKYAF’s very own a cappella group RAW and perform at the city’s largest youth arts outdoor event Standard Chartered Arts in the Park 2025!

Rehearsals are led by professional singing coach Astrid Lui and take place every Sunday afternoon from early September to November. Performances take place at Standard Chartered Arts in the Park 2025 on 29 and 30 November.

To apply, simply complete the application form and submit it with an audition video as detailed below.

Successful applicants will receive an email confirmation for their audition slot by 26 May. Until then, please reserve 1 June (9:30am – 2:30pm) in your calendar.

Past members of RAW are asked to submit an application form (no audition video required), and will be directly invited to the on-site auditions on 1 June.

We welcome singers to audition for both our RAW a cappella team and Harmonix show choir, but you will only be invited to participate in one of them.

Audition Process

Round 1: Video Audition
Application deadline: 23 | 05 | 2025

Complete the online application form and submit a one- to two-minute video* of yourself either singing (without music) or performing beatboxing/vocal percussion (with music) to a pop song of your choice.

*Please provide a sharable link for your submitted video (YouTube, Google Drive, Dropbox) and name the video with your full name.

Round 2: In-person Audition
Date: 01 | 06 | 2025
Time: 9:30am – 2:30pm
Venue: HKYAF Studio (Quarry Bay)

Shortlisted applicants will receive an email confirming their audition time slot by 26 May 2025. Individual auditions last 60 minutes, please reserve 1 June (9:30am – 2:30pm) in your calendar.

Those auditioning for singing will receive sheet music to learn before the audition. Those auditioning for beatboxing will be asked to prepare a beatbox accompaniment to a specific song.

DanceAbility is an empowering approach to dance that embraces individuals with disabilities and provides a platform for self-expression and personal growth.
