Music created from the heart can connect souls and build harmony.
We are currently recruiting young Cantonese composers and lyricists aged 14 to 25 for our Voices Unleashed music programme. Now in its third year, the programme offers participants the chance to explore extraordinary stories of individuals from diverse backgrounds and create music that inspires inclusivity and understanding within our community. The resulting works will be performed publicly by a mixed-ability choir, recorded in professional studios and released on streaming platforms.
Facilitating artists include Joseph Ho (member of Yat Po Singers, Set Tone Men and Zense), Sonic Lee (member of De Tesla, composer of 3CM and Housing Complex C), Winky Wong (member of girl group Beanies, winner of the Ultimate Song Chart Awards and Metro Radio Hits Music Awards), and Kessay Chan (Top 10 Young Artist 2019, project member of Yat Po Singers and project advisor for the Hong Kong Arts Festival).
To apply, simply submit the application form along with a short video clip of you performing a song. Free application, limited spots available.
This programme is part of The Hong Kong Jockey Club Community Project Grant: stART Up Community Arts Project – an inclusive and accessible project promoting understanding and equality, and expanding perceptions of what art can be.
Notes for the video submission
- To submit your video audition, please provide a link to your demo video hosted on YouTube, Google Drive, or Dropbox.
