Miller Performing Arts: Stage and Screen Combat Workshop
28/08/2018
Ever wondered how filmmakers and theatre directors make fight scenes look so realistic? Come along to this workshop, and learn how to safely perform fight scenes on stage and for the camera!
In the lead up to our 2018 musical Fame, come join us for this fun, daring, and completely safe workshop. This workshop is led by King Wong, a trained professional in stage combat, unarmed fighting and western sword fighting, and Production Director at Banana Effect. Participants will learn a range of basic techniques and fight-scene terms, and discover how to portray stage and screen violence effectively with correction actions, reactions, angles, staging and misdirection. The workshop is also a fantastic way to build teamwork, trust, and leadership and communication skills.
