Hong Kong Jockey Club Community Project Grant: stART Up Community Arts Project 2021 – Youth Singer-songwriters Workshop
Hong Kong Jockey Club Community Project Grant: stART Up Community Arts Project returns in 2021, exploring climate change through the arts. We are now seeking aspiring singer-songwriters aged 14 to 25 looking to showcase their talents!
In a series of four songwriting workshops based around the theme of climate change, participants will work with professional songwriter Isaac Chan, celebrating the power of music, taking inspiration from everyday life and learning how to express themselves through songwriting. After the workshops, one participant will be invited to perform the completed song at the performance production Why on Earth? which will be filmed on 27 - 28 Feb weekend.
If you are a singer-songwriter and are interested in taking part, please fill in the online application form and submit an audition video by 18 January 2021 (application details below).
The workshops are specially designed for young people with a singing and music background who are interested in singing and songwriting. We also welcome applicants who are interested in songwriting only and will keep your application details for future songwriting opportunities.
*All workshop and performance dates are mandatory. Please check the workshop schedule before applying.
*Due to the current pandemic situation, the workshop will be conducted via ZOOM*
