Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation - The Hong Kong Jockey Club Community Project Grant: stART Up Community Arts Project – “Voices Unleashed” Seeking Choir Members (Individuals or Small Groups)

We are now seeking enthusiastic and talented singers for our Voices Unleashed choir – a diverse community of disabled and non-disabled singers that brings to life positive and uplifting songs written by young songwriters.

As a choir member, you have the opportunity to record songs in a professional studio, have your music released on popular digital platforms like Spotify and perform at some of Hong Kong’s most exciting events.

Our choir welcomes anyone aged thirteen and above. We also have an inclusive and accessible approach that ensures that everyone has the opportunity to participate fully, regardless of physical abilities. Join us and share your voice with the world!

Notes for the video submission

– Please provide your video audition link (YouTube, Google Drive, Dropbox)

– Please provide a one-minute demo of you performing a cover song or an original song. If you choose to sing, the song can be sung with or without accompaniment. You may record your video while listening to the track with headphones on or accompanied by MMOs. However, we should hear your voice clearly such that it’s not hidden by the backing track.

– Please state your name and a brief introduction of your music experience at the beginning of the video clip. Do not go over the time limit.

About the project

Art is a universal language that can bring together people of all ages, cultures and abilities. The Hong Kong Jockey Club Community Project Grant: stART Up Community Arts Project – which runs from September 2023 to March 2024 – takes inclusion as its focus. Through accessible arts opportunities for people of all ages, cultures and abilities, the programme aims to promote understanding and equity among people of diverse backgrounds, and expand perceptions of what art can be.
