THE BIG RIDE - EXHIBITION

Funded by The Anna Kwanyat Li 2001 Living Trust at Give2Asia, the Big Ride aims at promoting art and a healthy life style for the youth in Tin Shui Wai. Through a series of workshops held in 2010 - 2011, led by local artists, over 300 young people learned to decorate their own bikes with various levels of complexity and utilize unwanted bike parts to create sculptures to flaunt their artistic talents as well as their individuality.

AGRICULTURAL BANK OF CHINA "EVERY CLOUD HAS A SILVER LINING" VISUAL ARTS PROJECT

With the support of the Agricultural Bank of China, this project provides an opportunity for children and young adults who live with long-term illnesses to explore the challenges they face and express their feelings about them in a creative way. By showcasing their work in a public exhibition, their self-confidence will be enhanced and they have the opportunity to share their point of view.

X'TRA SPECIAL ARTS PROJECT

Aiming at providing a platform for Special Needs students to express their feelings and enhance their self-esteem, the X’tra Special Arts Project has been very well received by participating schools & social organisations. After evaluation & discussion with teachers from Special Needs schools and social workers, we are planning to launch another series of workshops for these students in 2012. There will be two types of intensive workshops, each consisting of 3-4 sessions, The workshops aim to provide unique, out-of-the-box experiences for the children to interact with a variety of sensory and visually stimulating activities that encourage self-expression and creativity whilst broadening their horizons and experiences.
