India by the Bay 2018: HKYAF x The Yuva Ekta Foundation Paper Puppet Theatre Workshop
India by the Bay returns this February, bringing India’s cultural dynamism and rich diversity back to Hong Kong through art, culture, cuisine and literature. This year, we are delighted to be collaborating with India’s visionary The Yuva Ekta Foundation to offer exciting youth theatre workshops!
Paper Puppet Theatre Workshop (ages 10 to 18)
Step into the magical world of make believe and see your stories come alive with Paper Puppet Theatre! This workshop transports you to the heart of central India and presents a performance of Survival, a story of desperation, courage and determination to stay alive. An interactive post-performance discussion explores the emotions invoked in the story and sets the tone for you to build your own scenarios and prepare short paper puppet theatre performances to present at the end of the session.
This workshop is facilitated by The Yuva Ekta Foundation, an India-based not-for-profit trust that uses the social arts to create platforms and opportunities that enable youths to become pro-active and empowered citizens.Finished
