What made you become an illustrator?
As language isn’t my strong point, words with graphics help me get a better understanding of things. Colours are full of infinite possibilities so I love to use colours to express myself.
What is your most memorable artwork?
A few weeks ago I met an older couple. They asked if I could draw their portrait to celebrate their 44th wedding anniversary. They smiled from the heart while I was drawing. I was so glad that I helped them record a memorable moment in their lives.
What is your dream?
I want to live in Britain. My inspiration comes from people and things in Britain.
How would you encourage youngsters to pursue their dreams?
It’s a bit old-fashioned. Life will come to an end one day. When the thing you desire most appears in your life, go and seize it. Believing in yourself is the key. You will encounter lots of setbacks on the way to pursuing your dreams, but just trust yourself and do the best you can. Nothing is impossible. Go for it! You only live once!
How do you overcome difficulties?
Haha, I cry! Crying is a good way to vent my bad moods. I also go jogging or watch comedy films.
What is your favourite quote?
I don’t have a favourite quote. But I do agree with the saying ‘A young man idle, an old man needy’.
