What is your profession? How long have you been in this job for?
I've been teaching English and Literature in English at a local secondary school for almost 4 years.
Where is a special place in the Quarry Bay neighbourhood for you?
Cityplaza. I've lived in Taikoo Shing most of my life and the shopping mall is practically my home!
Have you always been interested in performing arts?
Yes! I've been in various school plays as a child/teenager, including one relatively large-scale musical with songs from Fame. I kept doing drama in university and even formed a theater group called the Shadow Players with my friends. We specialize in classic plays like Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest, and we continue to put on public performances to this day.
What drove you to audition for Cube Culture?
I've been itching to do another musical for a long time! I also thought it would be great to finally get to work with Lindsey; I actually auditioned for YAF's A Chorus Line in 2013 but had to withdraw due to other commitments. Cube Culture is the second chance I never thought I could get!
What is your most memorable part of this project?
Performing the final number of the show, "Work Hard, Play Hard". It felt like an epic culmination of all our efforts, and the level of camaraderie was off the charts! My fellow cast members are truly amazing people and I'm honored to have met them.
What’s your favourite musical?
The Lion King. The costumes and set designs are breathtaking and the songs are incredible, especially "Circle of Life"!
