Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation - Likes & Lies – Auditions for Youth Performers

Savannah and Chun navigate the complexities of friendship and romance in the digital age. As they connect through social media, they confront the challenges of modern relationships. With friends and digital personas influencing their choices, will they uncover what it truly means to be authentic in a world driven by likes and filters?

Following the success of last year's production, Gen Last, which was nominated for the United Nations Live Culture for Impact 2024, HKYAF is excited to present its next social issue-based musical, Likes & Lies. Written and directed by Lindsey McAlister with original music by Amuer Calderon, this production will take the stage at The Box, Freespace this November.

We are seeking passionate singers, dancers, and actors aged 9 to 25 who are eager to be part of this innovative performance.

Dance Auditions: 03 | 05 | 2025

Ages: 9 to 25 (choose one session)

● 10am – 11:30am

● 11:30am – 1pm

● 1pm – 2:30pm

Preparation: Come prepared to learn contemporary and pop dance routines.

Acting/Singing Auditions: 04 | 05 | 2025

Ages: 9 to 25 (choose one session)

● 9:30am – 11am

● 11am – 12:30pm

● 12:30pm – 2pm

● 2pm – 3:30pm

● 3:30pm – 5pm

Preparation: Please prepare one thirty-second song from any musical to sing without accompaniment.

Notes:

● Audition spots are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

● You are welcome to register for both acting/singing and dancing, but please note that you will ultimately be cast in only one role.

● Callbacks will be held on May 17 (dance) and May 18 (acting/singing), and your availability on these dates is required.

● Rehearsals will begin late August, with performances scheduled for November 13-15, 2025, at The Box, Freespace, WestK.
