Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation

YAF presented a high-energy new Broadway musical which based on one of the most popular films of the 1980s, “Footloose” captures the hearts of youth around the world. 10 shows were held in the Shouson Theatre.

Directed by Lindsey McAlister and produced under the music direction of Scott Gibson and choreography by Kin Chan, Footloose jumps with spirit, dazzling dance numbers and an electrifying musical score. A treasury of Top 10 songs-Kenny Loggins "Footloose," Deniece Williams "Let's Hear It For The Boy," Bonnie Tyler "Holding Out for A Hero," and the Footloose love theme, "Almost Paradise."

Synopsis
When teenager Ren and his family move from the big city of Chicago to a small mid-western town where rock music and dancing are illegal, he is in for a real case of culture shock. Story unfolds when Ren falls in love with the town minister Rev. Shaw’s rebellious daughter, Ariel and decides to take on the small-town establishment struggling to abolish the outmoded ban and revitalize the spirit of the repressed town people.
