Bloomberg Digital Arts Initiative 2013 - Exhibition

This October, at K11 art space, emerging artists Kenny Wong and Marco De Mutiis showcase ][LIMINAL][, a digital art exhibition featuring site-specific sound performances by swarms of flying quadcopters.

Unanimously selected by the panel of this year’s Bloomberg Digital Arts Initiative, ][LIMINAL][ explores the potential of the quadcopter in the field of digital arts, and engages the public in new and exciting ways through the manipulation of public spaces.Hovering and flying, the buzzing quadcopters inhabit the vertical spaces between buildings, in streets, abandoned lots, car parks and stairs, providing audiences with a re-interpretation of in-between spaces and adding another level of awareness to our daily interactions as we navigate the city.

The exhibition includes installations, videos and interactive works that document the results of four months of experimentation and investigation. The Bloomberg Digital Arts Initiative is sponsored by Bloomberg and organised by Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation.
