Miller Performing Arts: Stage and Screen Combat Workshop

22/02/2016

Ever wondered how filmmakers and theatre directors make their fights look so realistic? Come along to this workshop, and learn how to safely perform fight scenes on stage and for the camera!

This fun, daring – but safe! – workshop is led by King Wong, a trained professional in stage combat, unarmed fighting and western sword fighting, and Production Director at Banana Effect. Participants will be taught a range of basic techniques and fight-scene terminology, and learn how to portray stage and screen violence effectively with correction actions, reactions, angles, staging and misdirection. Learning stage combat is a fantastic way to build teamwork, trust, and leadership and communication skills.
