Miller Performing Arts: Fame - Seeking Youth Performers

We are now seeking young and enthusiastic actors, singers and dancers from the ages of 10 to 25 to take part in our flagship 2018 musical Fame, to be performed this November

Join us and be part of an unforgettable production that follows the young performers at New York’s School of the Performing Arts as they work to achieve their dreams. Grow with them on stage as they act, sing and dance, mastering their studies and the challenges they face as young adults and artists through laughter, love, sweat and tears.

This sensational Olivier Award-winning musical celebrates the antics, ambition and struggles of those who dream big, and includes the instantly recognisable title song ‘Fame’.

Dance auditions: 21 | 4 | 2018
11am - 5pm (6 sessions - choose one)
Come prepared to learn a dance routine

Singing auditions: 22 | 4 | 2018    
10am - 5:30pm (5 sessions - choose one)
Please prepare a one-minute song from Fame or another musical to sing without accompaniment 

Register for auditions now! For singing auditions, register here. For dance auditions register here. Spots will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. You can choose to register for either or both auditions. Callbacks take place on 19 & 20 May 2018. Rehearsals begin late August 2018, and performances take place 22 - 24 November 2018 at the Hong Kong Arts Centre. Experience preferred, enthusiasm a must!

Adverse Weather Arrangements:

If Typhoon Signal No. 3 or Red Rainstorm Warning hoisted:Auditions proceed as scheduled. 

If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or Black Rainstorm Warning hoisted:Auditions will proceed 3 hours AFTER the signal/warning is taken down:

  • i.e. If HKO announces they will hoist No 8. at 2pm, the 2pm session will be cancelled, but sessions before 2pm will continue.
  • i.e. Typhoon 8 downgraded to Typhoon 3 at 9.30am. Auditions resume at 12.30pm.
  • i.e. Black Rainstorm Warning downgraded to Red Rainstorm Warning at 10 am. Auditions resume at 1pm.

 

If there are any sessions that need to be cancelled due to the weather conditions, the auditions will be postponed (details will be further confirmed). Under adverse weather conditions, safety is our priority. Your/your child’s attendance is at the parent’s discretion. We will be in touch after the weekend to rearrange auditions should it be necessary.
