Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation Presents: A CHORUS LINE
12-14/12/2013
The Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation presents its 2013 flagship musical A CHORUS LINE for six performances only. Formerly Broadway's longest running musical, A CHORUS LINE takes audiences through the final, grueling audition for a new Broadway musical. While it speaks loudest to those in the business, it is also a universal tale of struggle, striving to fulfill a dream, the brutality of rejection, and the opportunity to gain a second chance in life. It departs from the usual glossy backstage musical by presenting a true picture of what it is like to be in the theatre: glamorous at times, but also tough, heartbreaking and tragic.
40 talented young actors, singers and dancers inspire you to experience the blood, sweat and tears that goes on behind the scenes with this Tony® Award-winning score, which includes songs like 'What I did for Love', 'At the Ballet' and 'One (Singular Sensation)'. Tickets are available at all URBTIX outlets from 12 November 2013 onwards. Conceived and originally directed & choreographed by Michael Bennett Music by Marvin Hamlisch Lyrics by Edward Kleban Adapted and directed by Lindsey McAlister Musical direction by Scott Gibson Choreographed by Jun Mabaquiao & Giselle Liu Stage and costume design by Marsha Roddy
