Citibank Plaza Recycled Nutcracker Project
01/12/2013-02/01/2014
Our consumerist culture continually encourages us to buy things that we don't really need, and many of the things we buy on the spur of the moment soon land in the bin. But what if we put these unwanted items to another use?
This recycled art project marks the first collaboration between YAF and Citibank Plaza. Local artists Karen Pow, Chao Harn Kae, Kevin Cheung and Hanison Lau are invited to create four giant nutcracker sculptures using recycled objects. The unique sculptures are exhibited in the Upper Ground Lobby, Citibank Plaza, this winter, creating a festive Christmas atmosphere and promoting recycling in the workplace at the same time.
